Sneak Peek: Shane & Martha {wedding : RI & CT}

I am collecting my gear and packing my bags for a weekend in Brooklyn.  One of my best friends just recently got engaged and I, as Awesome Friend of Honor, will be accompanying her to the mecca of wedding gowns, Kleinfelds!  I'm super excited and can't wait to just spend a weekend with her...and Joe too ;)  But before I peace out, here is a sneak peek of the wedding I shot with MC Photography last weekend!!

Safe Travels!

Everyone needs a vacation! {burlington, vt}

Today I am off to shoot a wedding in Rhode Island with my friend Megan.  This is our first time professionally shooting together and I can't wait!  I photographed Megan a few months back.  Check out her beautiful face here!  And stay tuned for a sneak peek of the wedding!!

Last week, Matt and I took a much needed vacation to Vermont. We were lucky enough to be able to house sit for my parents while they were on vacation.  A perfect scenario for a vacationer on a budget.  The only kick was that I had to get up every day at 6am to take little old Simon out.  He is not as well trained as Rupert...to sleep until 10! Haha  But once that was taken care of we had a great time!  All week we did things I've never done or haven't done in years.  And we even got to spend some quality time with my grandparents :)

Don't forget to take a break yourself!

To fall in love {franklin, ma}

Falling in love is something so very special.  There is nothing like falling in love with something or someone for the first time.  And I mean truly falling in love.  Like the day I fell in love with Photography...It was the first time I pulled the film out of the developer.  Then there was the day I fell in love with my dog, Rupert...It was the first night he fell asleep in my arms, belly up.  And then the day I fell in love with my husband, which was before we even said the words out loud.  So as I sat with my husband last weekend, watching the Franklin Fireworks, I turned to him and said, "I think I just fell in love with this town."  He smiled and held me just a bit tighter.  I smiled, took a deep breath and settled in to my new town.  There's nothing like a carnival, a parade and the most amazing fireworks display ever to set the scene for love.  And I fell for it.

Charlotte & Phillip {Boston University : boston, ma}

The heat is not stopping!  I am slowly watching the grass turn brown and all my new plants wilt before my eyes.  I am really trying to have a green thumb, but the only thing green right now is my last name...  The town has a water ban in full swing so I am hitting the road!  This weekend I am taking a vacation with friends up to New Hampshire and Maine to get a little more in touch with the great outdoors.  We are paddling the quiet seas of the Saco River and doing a little camping and marshmallow toasting.  I know this is another shocking moment for those who know I don't camp...but it has been a few years since I've been camping and I thought I should give it another chance.  When I was little I would go camping with my parents and this involved my stepfather camping in a tent and my mother and I "camping" in a hotel room...So stay tuned for all the adventurous tales and pictures...but let it be known...if someone tells a ghost story...I'M OUT OF THERE!

Anyways, here are Charlotte and Phillip!  If you missed their sneak peek, check it out here.  Thanks for a fantastic afternoon on the campus of Boston University :)  I wish you both much love and happiness out in California!!
