Flying Puggle {brookline : ma}

After two days of rain, the sun decided to show its beautiful face today.  I grabbed my husband, Rupert and the camera and we all headed out to Larz Anderson Park.  When we got there, we realized it was just a tad breezy and freezing cold so we came back home.  While it was a day better viewed through a window, I did get this shot of Rupert sitting by the water.  He didn't seem to mind the wind :)

Monty {shiba inu}

Today it's raining and I am wearing two shirts and a sweater and feeling lazy...but I don't want to focus on that.  I want to go back to the beginning of last week, when Spring stopped by for a visit.  Last week when I opened my windows wide, when I heard the dogs barking from miles away and when I got out to photograph Monty on a warm and sunny afternoon.  I think he may have been the only one more excited than me.  The fragrant buds were appearing, the squirrels had an extra hop in their step and the light breeze adjusted his ears just slightly.  So much delicious stimulation would bring a smile to anyone's face...or in Monty's case, a big howl!

Also, Monty's mommy makes fantastic jewelry!  Check out her blog here :)

Nicole {portrait : boston, ma}

Nicole is one of my best friends from college.  Back then, we stayed up all night in studio together and ate Thai food at all hours together and we also traveled to a little town named Heidelberg together.  Nowadays we travel between Boston and Brooklyn to visit each other a couple times a year.  We still eat Thai food and stay up late, but it is much more meaningful as our lives have changed so much.  We both lost our jobs within weeks of each other last year and since then, we have gone on to find what really makes us happy.  For Nicole it was web design and a two bedroom apartment in Brooklyn.  For me it was sleeping later and taking photographs of my Puggle, Rupert.  It is hard to believe that so much has changed, but I am so grateful for people like Nicole who have helped me through it.  People who pick up the phone, make you smile and remind you of you.  Here are a couple photos of Nicole that I took on our way to the train station.

Rainy Day Puggle {brookline, ma}

This weekend has been a washout.  Rain, rain and more rain.  Poor Rupert just hates the rain and tightly crosses his paws so he doesn't have to go out there.  He could care less about the health hazards...he just doesn't want to do it.  But a rainy day does not stop a Puggle from wanting to play.  I was in the middle of watching season 3 of Sex and the City when Rupert gave me the saddest eyes and hummed a quiet whimper...he wanted to play with his new favorite toy...the football.  We don't give Rupert soft toys because he will eat them for dinner.  But my dear friend Nicole brought him a so-called indestructible soft toy...so we agreed to try it out with supervision.  Rupert thinks it's the greatest toy on earth and quickly forgets about the billion dollar bone we bought him for Christmas.  But it is all OK because his smile after playing is priceless :)

Keira & Dan {wedding shoot : waltham, ma}

Wedding season is just about to begin and I am just bubbling over with excitement!  Photographing weddings is something that has always interested me and I'm very excited to get started!  My dress collection is exponentially getting larger and boy has that been fun!  Speaking of dresses, check out Keira's amazing dress!  Below is the third and final installment of "The Wedding Workshop," which I attended in early February.  The other two shoots can be found here and here!  Keira and Dan were clients of The Studio Nouveau last year.  Click here to view their actual, fantastical photos from the big day!  They loved their wedding outfits so much that they volunteered to pose in them again, just for us!  Thanks Keira & Dan and thanks to Lara & my workshop mates for being totally awesome!

Being Noticed {dogtipper.com}

On Friday, I was mentioned on www.dogtipper.com!  They do a segment called "Facebook Friday" where they highlight dog related products.  I had a friend visiting from NYC and was super distracted by our Boston adventures, that I didn't even realized I was listed until Sunday!  For those who know me, I am obsessive about checking Facebook, Gmail, Twitter and my favorite blogs...so for me to miss this is quite a feat!  It just means I was having a fantastic time with Nicole!  Anywho...I'm super excited and honored to be mentioned.  Every little bit of exposure helps :)

A little Digby from the Riley shoot! {salem, ma}

Yes, it's true...I can't resist Digby's adorable face!  So while I was doing Riley's shoot, I would occasionally take a snapshot of Digby.  Honestly, I think Digby was begging for it!  She was always in my face giving me kisses and trying to sit in my lap :)  Here are my favorites!

Riley {portrait : salem, ma}

Riley is a member of a super awesome family that is near and dear to my heart.  I photographed their dog Digby last year and was called in to document their daughter turning 3!  Now, there wasn't a birthday party, but boy did it feel like it.  We played with toys, ate cookies & lollipops and even took turns on the sit-n-spin.  Oh...and we finished it up with pizza!!  I guess it was a party!  I think we all had a ton of fun - Thanks Dynia family :)
