A new beginning! {franklin, ma}

Right now, as you are reading this post, my husband and I are out purchasing our first home!  We have been packing for two months and signing tons of paperwork all for the joy of being able to truly call a place home.  So many memories will be created there and I am giddy just thinking about them ;)
 So while I am off greeting my mortgage broker, the lawyer and the sellers with apprehensive excitement...you, sit back and enjoy this calming, mover-free view of my new home!

Lia & Lou...ENGAGED!!! {watertown, ma}

Four years ago I got my dream job working at a Boston architecture firm.  I was designing theaters and entertainment spaces on cruise ships!  Wow, I felt I was so lucky and so blessed to have gotten to this place in my life... but it got so much better just after my first week.  The other people who worked there were some of the kindest, funniest and most creative people I have ever met or had the honor of working with.  Lia was one of them.  She may have sat two floors above me, but boy did I think she was fantastic!  We also went to the same college :)  A year ago, Lia and I,  as well as many others sadly had to find new jobs because of the economic downturn.  I cried for a little while, but quickly realized this was my chance to professionally pursue my other passion, photography.  Last weekend, Lia was so generous to offer up her and her fiance Lou for a shoot.  They had seen this location on another blog and I agreed it was perfect!  It's funny because the couple they saw photographed here is a couple that modeled for me at a workshop!  Such a small world!  I had such a great time with Lia and Lou...there were very few times that we weren't laughing hysterically!  May you both have a marriage filled with years of laughter!

Megan...You've seen her before, but not like this! {portrait}

It has been a busy week!  I have finally overhauled my website...new colors, new pictures, new logo.  Check it out!  I am really happy with the direction it is taking these days, but because my favorite colors change with the weather...you will probably see frequent changes over the next month or so.  I wanted to tackle this project this week because next week is it...the final week living in Brookline.  Next week I will have a whole house to myself (well...I do have to share with Matt and Rupert...but you get my point)!   I've been living in the city for 9 years.  I can't believe how much time has passed and how much things have changed.  I just want to take a moment and give a shout out to all the people who were a part of my city life...thank you for being awesome and please visit me in the country! HaHa ;)

But anyways...on to MEGAN!  I started editing Megan to the sound of my fav, Neil Diamond...but quickly switched to Joss Stone...it's pretty obvious why ;)  Enjoy!

Nicole {portrait : brookline}

Packing is in full swing at soon-to-be former Chateau Greene.  My husband and I are getting very anxious as we wrap up the mortgage stuff and make daily trips to the Home Depot for daydreaming purposes only.  I imagine when we get in the house we will be at the depot 3-4 times a day...  But as the days get nicer I am really trying to make time to get out and shoot.  This time Nicole and I went out for a double shoot.  This means that I, yes I..., got in front of the camera!  This is not something I enjoy very much, but I had a great time doing it the other day, and I actually look forward to doing it again with some of my other photog friends.  You might recognize the site, we were at Larz Anderson Park.  It is just so beautiful there and I want to soak it in as much as possible while it is just a block away!  So, check out Nicole, rockin the camera, on a fantastic Saturday afternoon :)
