Lisa & Steve + a surprise!! {portrait : franklin, ma}

I posted Lisa's sneak peek a couple weeks ago but here is the full post!!  Her boyfriend came along to hold all our coffee's and he even jumped in for a few... sans coffee ;)  Lisa rocked the camera and I have to say, Steve did a pretty awesome job too!  After the shoot Steve surprised Lisa by taking her up to the Mt. Washington Hotel for her birthday.  But that wasn't it....

The Gyftopoulos Family {portrait : lincoln, ma}

I hope everyone had a warm and joyous Christmas!  We had part one in Connecticut on Christmas Day and part two is just around the corner...but I wanted to get this up for you before New Years!!

I had big plans for this shoot...all of which didn't really get to happen because we had quite the little snow storm hit us in the middle of it.  But it still turned out to be a fantastic shoot with the Gyftopoulos Cousins!!  All 10 of them!

Happy New Year!

Much Love,
Aubrey

Sneak peek: Lisa! {portrait : franklin, ma}

I've got a quick little SNEAK PEEK for you this afternoon!  Let me introduce, Lisa!  Lisa and her siblings are giving their parents pictures of themselves for Christmas as a way to update their decor.  Until recently, her parents still had 4th grade mugshots hanging all over the place.  I am sure their walls will look A LOT different with this portrait on the wall!!  Lisa was super nervous but as soon as she got some coffee in her and took off her jacket, she was totally workin' the camera!

I'll have more soon, but now I must make a mess in the kitchen...it's time to make the Christmas cookies!!!

Much Love,
Aubrey

The key to success {head shots : Belmont, MA}

Losing my job at a fantastic, downtown architecture firm was right up top on my list of heartbreaking things that have happened in my life.  I spent five years in college developing who I was and who I was going to be in the design world and it all culminated with finding the perfect job...but only a handful of years in and it all came crashing down.  Looking back on it now, it was only the paycheck that came crashing down.  My colleagues, my friendships and my heart were stronger than ever.  My determination to pull my new career together was moving faster than my fingers and toes were.  Before I knew it I was back in school and I had a new business with clients lining up outside my door.  The word got out because of my former colleagues, the clients were my friends and my heart continued to be hopeful and courageous.

Mary Ann is starting a new business at the age of 60.  Talk about courage!  She is going to be extremely successful...and it's not just because she had her head shots taken by yours truly. ;)  It's because she is strong willed and very determined to be happy!  She also has a fantastic support system and tons of talented people helping her out.  Mary Ann, I can't wait to see all that your business becomes.  I wish you so much luck, success and love in your new adventure!

Maia {portrait : swampscott, ma}

The next couple of weeks are going to be loaded with blog posts!  I had the busiest September EVER, full of beautiful weddings and stunning portraits.  I can't wait to get them up here.  But give me a few days haha.  I just got back from taking a mini vacation...I attended a fantastic workshop up in Gloucester, MA, I had my best friend up for a visit AND my husband and I welcomed another Puggle puppy in to our home.  Just wait 'til you see the pictures of her...ADORABLE!

But right now it's Maia's time!  I met up with Maia and her parents for a morning shoot at the beach...My favorite.  Even though we had to play hopscotch around giant poison ivy bushes and got drenched by some unexpected waves...it made the day that much more fun!

Enjoy!

Sneak Peek: Maia {portrait : swampscott, ma}

Today was my first Saturday without a wedding or portrait shoot in a really long time...and I have to say it's been pretty amazing.  I watched some football (Michigan wasn't on so I had to watch UCONN...), went for a really long walk with Rupert (where he got to hang with his GF Emma), got a newly acquired piece of art framed and ate some more kettle corn from the giant bag of it that I got at The Big E on Wednesday.

Last weekend I got to do a portrait shoot with Maia!  Maia is a very serious little girl, but every once in a while she loves to share a giggle or two.

Enjoy!

And here's a little bonus...Matt with the GIANT bag of popcorn!

The Allen Family {portrait : salem, ma}

Happy Tuesday!!  It has been a humid couple of days, but I'm not going to complain...before you know it the leaves will be falling and snow will be piling up...ok maybe I'm getting ahead of myself...  But right now I'm going to savor the warmth and every moment that I get to go to the beach.  This brings me to The Allen Family!  We met up for their shoot in the historic Salem Willows Park.  Lily is really interested in trucks right now and the town was holding a Tour A Truck event so of course we had to go!  She climbed in, bounced on the over-sized seats and honked all the horns!  When that was done we headed down to the beach where we ALL got a little wet!

Thanks for a fantastic afternoon of cheerios and giggles!
