Alyssa & Katie...ENGAGED!!! {brookline, ma}

So there is this amazing theater company in Boston called Company One.  If you haven't been to one of their shows...DO IT NOW!  They produce socially relevant theater that will always leave you wanting more.  I have volunteered there a few times and this is how I met Sasha.  Sasha is the fundraising/grant writing extraordinaire for Company One.  It was Sasha who introduced me to Alyssa & Katie!  Our shoot consisted of rain, sun and tons of clouds...but it also had rainbows...which is pretty awesome.  We did the e-shoot at the always fantastic, Larz Anderson Park in Brookline.  Alyssa & Katie are so full of love and laughter and they like to have fun.  I'm pretty sure I would love to do a shoot with them every weekend.  But alas...I must now wait until their wedding in April.  But I am also pretty sure it will be nothing short of amazing!

One word...RAINBOW!  When I met up with Alyssa & Katie we were a bit concerned about the weather.  But as the time passed and a few drops fell, we got amazing moments like this!

Engagement Albums! {stuff I love : products}

These came in a while ago...and well, summer happened.  And summer is still happening as I am about to start my office renovation...yes, this is the second time since we moved in...but this should be the last!  Anyways, here they are for your viewing pleasure!  I LOVE them.  These albums are locally manufactured and handmade - it doesn't get much better than that!  The first one is an imported linen cover that comes in many different delicious colors like Kiwi, Blueberry and Mango...shown here!  The other album has a glossy, removable book jacket.  The jackets are scratch, smudge and tear-resistant!  Both books are 20-pages of high quality, archival paper and custom designed by yours truly.  I also do extensive editing on all images that go into your album so that it is nothing short of perfect!

Sneak Peek: Charlotte & Phillip {engagement: boston, ma}

So after a long visit with my parents and a family wedding in CT, I got up nice and early to come in to Boston for a shoot with Charlotte & Phillip.  When they booked the engagement shoot and said they wanted to do it at Boston University I got super excited!  The area around Marsh Chapel is bursting with great architecture and fantastic landscaping.  We probably could have spent the entire afternoon there if it wasn't a thousand degrees out!!  Charlotte really wanted a picture in front of a red door...so we searched and searched and eventually we found it.  The two of them had tons of spectators while we took this shot and it really helped them relax and have a little fun!  I can't wait to show you more!!

Lia & Lou...ENGAGED!!! {watertown, ma}

Four years ago I got my dream job working at a Boston architecture firm.  I was designing theaters and entertainment spaces on cruise ships!  Wow, I felt I was so lucky and so blessed to have gotten to this place in my life... but it got so much better just after my first week.  The other people who worked there were some of the kindest, funniest and most creative people I have ever met or had the honor of working with.  Lia was one of them.  She may have sat two floors above me, but boy did I think she was fantastic!  We also went to the same college :)  A year ago, Lia and I,  as well as many others sadly had to find new jobs because of the economic downturn.  I cried for a little while, but quickly realized this was my chance to professionally pursue my other passion, photography.  Last weekend, Lia was so generous to offer up her and her fiance Lou for a shoot.  They had seen this location on another blog and I agreed it was perfect!  It's funny because the couple they saw photographed here is a couple that modeled for me at a workshop!  Such a small world!  I had such a great time with Lia and Lou...there were very few times that we weren't laughing hysterically!  May you both have a marriage filled with years of laughter!

Mark & Aimee {brookline, ma}

Sometimes you are just looking for a nice picture to hang on the wall.  Something that captures how happy you are at that very moment and that doesn't have half of your arm in it because you took it yourself!  This is exactly what Mark and Aimee wanted...and luckily they knew a photographer who lived three blocks away!  So...the rest of the story goes like this: Mark and I are friends.  We went to college together here in Boston...five years of studio, Pigs Pizza and silly chit chat...and there was even a moment when we were Resident Assistants together.  Oh the memories :)  Now Mark lives a few blocks away, but we only get to see each other a few times a year.  But seriously...those few days are the best days ever.  No one makes me laugh like Mark does!  And his girlfriend, Aimee, is so kind and so sweet, I can't get enough of her!  I am so happy that the two of them found each other and I am so honored that I got to eternally capture an amazing afternoon spent together!  Mark and Aimee, I had such a great time and I miss you already...enjoy the photographs :) 

Jessica & Ben {engagement : brookline, ma}

This post is a BIG DEAL!  This is the first engagement shoot I'm posting AND the smiling faces are members of my family!!  Jessica is my husband's cousin and Ben is the lucky man who gets to marry her!  This shoot could not have gone any better...Jessica and Ben were tons of fun, the sun was shining and the location was perfect.  We did the shoot at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline.  They chose this spot because this is where Ben proposed to Jessica...too cute!!   The park is beautiful and offers so many different shooting opportunities which I took full advantage of ;)  I had a great time and I can't wait for their wedding in June...which I will be photographing as well :)  Here are a few of my favorite shots!
