Sneak Peek: Bill & Nicole {wedding : RI & MA}

Since I moved to Franklin I have found that I spend a lot of time traveling...usually to Boston because I just can't give up lunches on State Street and a really good hair stylist! I am also constantly going to Connecticut and Rhode Island too! The good news there is that both are only minutes from my house. It is a bit strange to live in a place where two steps left is a whole other state... but I love it! It is so fun at dinner to say..."Oh I spent the day in Rhode Island"...leaving people to think I sipped Del's lemonade on the beach all day. When really I drove 15 minutes to pick up vacuum bags at Sears then decided to get a pedicure. All things aside, I love having the option to take a day trip to another state. It helps to settle my cravings for big airplane trips ;)

Here's a sneak peek at another state hopping couple! The ceremony was steps from their house in Warren, Rhode Island and the reception was in the backyard of Nicole's parent's house in Swansea, Massachusetts.

Sneak Peek: Allen Family {portrait: salem, ma}

I love Facebook!  ...and I am not ashamed to admit it :)  Facebook has helped me promote my business, saved me tons of money on my phone bill and helped to keep the entire world up to date on my every footstep...it doesn't get better than that!  But you know, my favorite part of Facebook is getting back in touch with old friends.  Which brings me to today's SNEAK PEEK!  I went to high school with Tricia and Chris and through Facebook I found out that they had gotten married, moved to the Bay State AND had a beautiful baby girl named Lily.  So when I announced (on Facebook!) that I was now doing family shoots, she immediately sent me a message.  I have so many favorites from this day and I can't wait to post them all, but for now here are a couple teasers!

Enjoy!

Shane & Martha: MARRIED! {wedding : RI & CT}

I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far...I am personally kicking some butt already!  I had to take a bit of break last week to take care of my ongoing back injury and I was feeling like my office was shrinking with all the work piling up and products coming in.  So yesterday, bit by bit, I whittled it down to just a handful of e-mails...to those who didn't hear from me, you will by the end of today!

So first up is Shane and Martha!  I was so excited for their wedding because the reception was held at the beautiful Inn at Woodstock Hill in Connecticut.  I have been driving by this place for the last four years but have never been in it.  So now was my chance and it was worth the wait!  The weather gods apparently didn't get the schedule of events, but after the rain stopped we did get a beautiful sunset!  Thanks so much to MC Photography for letting me tag long!

Enjoy!

being bridal in brooklyn {brooklyn, ny}

Last weekend I took a trip on my very first Amtrak train...it was AMAZING!  For years I have been going to New York City by way of bus and it would take me 6+ hours.  Last year I tried flying...it took just as long because the airport is nowhere near Brooklyn!  By taking the train I was actually able to eat dinner with my friend Nicole and still have time to stay up late and giggle!  The purpose of my trip was to accept my post as Awesome Friend of Honor, more commonly known as Main of Honor, and to cry as she tried on the IT dress.  All things were successful :)  I got to meet the other bridesmaids and the fiance's mother, all of whom I LOVE!  I also got to catch up with Mama Confrey and secretively plan future bridal activities ;)

So when I wasn't being bridal in Brooklyn...I got to check out a farmer's market, the boardwalk at Coney Island and I even took in a Brooklyn Cyclones game...complete with fireworks!!  Lastly, I would like to give a shout out to Wafels & Dinges for providing me with my most delicious and memorable waffle experience!
