Wedding Workshop: Harvard vs Yale {Gloucester, ma}
When I was a little kid I always said I was going to be a doctor. I would sit in front of the television and watch medical shows until the cows came home. As I got older, I dropped the doctor line and went with something equally as impressive like "I am going to go to Harvard." At 16 I dragged my parents to Cambridge and toured the campus and it was then that I fell in love. It was my home away from home with the H.H. Richardson buildings, lively downtown area and hippies...It really was just like Burlington, Vermont. I even bought a sweatshirt...which I still have :) But alas, I did not go to Harvard...I went to a school near Harvard and got a Professional Degree of Architecture. Years later Harvard still held a special place in my heart and I seriously considered it for grad school. But tons of unpaid loans from my first degree helped me focus on my other hobbies and interests and pointed me in a different direction. A direction I have never been more sure about. A direction that has filled me with so much happiness that I wake up every day on the brink of bursting...and isn't that a fun way to live?! This decision also led me to the warm-hearted and enormously talented duo, Justin & Mary. Two people that brought Harvard back in to my life through a preppy, vintage shoot full of ivy league rivalry. Thanks to all the photogs who modeled and a big thank you to Lara Kimmerer and her fiance, Peter, for doing a practice run for the real 2011 wedding! You two are GORGEOUS!
Enjoy :)
